Serving Together

There’s a place for you to get involved at College Park Church of the Nazarene. Our church members help lead small portions of our worship service and our ministries. We also serve our community in several highly impactful ways.

College Park Community Food Bank

We launched the College Park Community Food Bank in September of 2009. When we first started this ministry we had no idea what we were doing or what we were getting ourselves into. All we knew was this is what we felt God wanted us to do. Since that time the ministry has continued to grow and more partners have continued to join us in this “truly community effortto reduce hunger in our surrounding neighborhoods.

We now serve an average of 700 people a month with this basic ministry of feeding and clothing our neighbors.

Haiti & Mid-Atlantic Partnership

Three years ago we joined a partnership between local pastors and congregations on the Mid-Atlantic District of the United States and local pastors and congregations in Port-au-Prince, Haiti to begin forming a new type of international ministry. The purpose of this ministry is to build lasting relationships between our congregations on a local level. All ministries and projects stem from this relational center.

We have made three trips to Haiti in the past three years and this July our brothers and sisters in Haiti will be coming to the U.S. to visit us.

Halloween and Other Community Moments

We love to be out in our neighborhood when our neighbors are. One example is on Halloween, we pass out candy, healthy snacks, hot cider, and cookies for children and adults every Halloween.
